Mark Wilson has an interest in Middle Eastern and African culture, heritage, natural environment and the rich visual & spiritual traditions of Islam. He is a member of The Saudi-British Society, and dedicates time to initiatives that encourage greater mutual understanding between Britain and the Gulf region.
Mark frequently travels overseas, most recently travelling to India, Kenya and the Middle East. In 2011 Mark travelled to South Africa as a distinguished Rotary New Generations Exchange Student. In 2007 he was awarded a Rotary Outstanding Contributions Chalice for Special Service. Mark is the Past-President of The Rotaract Club of Canterbury, a Rotary International service club for young professionals. Rotaract is part of a 400,000 strong membership worldwide.
Mark has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Education Studies, and is currently studying for a Master of Arts degree in Civil Society, NGO and Non-Profit Studies.
